LongView International Project Manager in Norfolk, Virginia
LTS is seeking a Project Manager in Norfolk, VA to join our team managing and supporting an Information Technology (IT) Engineering support services project with the Navy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- 8 years of experience managing and leading complex projects
- 5 years’ experience conducting and reporting Earned Value
- Responsible for managing the IT Engineering Support services project
- Responsible for managing all elements for scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, procurement, stakeholders, human resources and communications management.
- Responsible for developing, updating and maintaining the tasking for project teams
- Responsible for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing projects
- Responsible for controlling and monitoring project scope, time, cost, quality and risk
- Responsible for reporting on all project performance
- Responsible for managing Stakeholder expectations
- Responsible for leading and directing multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver projects on-time, within budget and scope
- Responsible for assessing project health and directing any necessary corrective measures – creatively apply project management processes to address unique situations
- Responsible for developing and managing comprehensive project plans, detailed project schedules, resource estimations, quality requirements and metrics, and organizational change management activities
- Responsible for defining and documenting project work breakdown structures and monitoring / reporting project status.
- Experience interviewing, hiring and on-boarding staff
- Strong customer support and customer management skills
- Experience with team building and the ability to clearly communicate with government and team members
- Ability to communicate technical tasking / concepts to audiences with varying degrees of technical understanding
- Superior oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Versed on MS office products including, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel
- Proficient in MS Project
- Ability to work with C level executives and Stakeholders
- Self-motivated individual willing to work in a challenging environment
Education/Clearance Requirements:
- Master of Science Degree from an institution accredited by and organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- Active Secret clearance
- Project Management Professional (PMP) required
